Irvine Unified Council PTA (IUCPTA) consists of PTA
presidents from PTA units at each IUSD school as well
as an elected Executive Board and committee chairs.
Additionally, representatives from IUSD’s board of
trustees, IUSD’s superintendent, and representatives
from Irvine Public Schools Foundation are regular
meeting presenters and attendees. On occasion,
community partners are also invited to present
programs and information of interest to the PTA
units.
IUCPTA is a member 4th District PTA (www.fourthdistirctpta.org), California State PTA (www.capta.org) and National PTA (www.pta.org). The National PTA is the oldest and largest volunteer association working exclusively on behalf of all children and youth. For more than 100 years, the National PTA has promoted the education, health, and safety of children, youth, and families. The purposes of the PTA, as defined by National PTA, are:
